The Mallardian Candidate is the tenth episode of season three.
Plot[]
Former comedian Iggy Catalpa hires Duckman to investigate a conspiracy where the only evidence is a sock missing from his laundry. The WDL conspirators capture Duckman during the investigation, and brainwash him into killing the only being that can stop them: his partner and best friend, Cornfed Pig.
Notes[]
- Episode Title Reference: The 1962 film, The Manchurian Candidate.
- This episode also reveals that despite the fact that King Chicken had previously used Iggy as a pawn in a maniacal plot to isolate Duckman in "Joking the Chicken", a plot that Iggy himself said wasn't very nice, they still remained friends afterwards. Iggy even has an autographed photo of KC that reads "Best wishes on your world domination".
- During the brainwashing sequence, the x-ray they used to analyze Duckman's brain is the same hospital x-ray created in "Psyche".
- This episode featured a scene where Duckman tries to kill himself, his family not caring enough to stop him. A similar scene occurs in the video game.
- The string of overhead conspirators that appear at the very end of the episode ended with Morris Needlemen, a persona of King Chicken's.

Quotes[]
Duckman: You think you can go plowing into a law-abiding-if-I-can-beat-the-statute-of-limitations citizen just 'cause you're too lazy to take off those sunglasses indoors? Hey, don't point that white cane at me!
Duckman: Please, Cornicle, that guy's more paranoid than all those people that are trying to kill me.
Duckman: If you were thirty years younger, I'd like to plant something in your mulch.
